Hello,
I need to update to WordPress 4.2.1, but when I click that link, I get the following error:
Error 500 - Internal Server Error An error was encountered while processing your request. Typically this is a temporary condition. Please contact the web site owner for further assistance.
This is not a temporary condition since I've been attempting this update on and off for about 3 days now. I have also tried to update the PlugIns, but I receive the same error.
The website is: newbergfamilydentist.com I am using the Weaver II theme, and I have noticed that they would like me to pay for use now. Do I need to upgrade to a paid version? Could that be the problem?
Also, I have searched for a solution on this forum, but didn't see anything that was related. I did find some troubleshooting for "error 500" and checked my .htaccess file. The contents match the recommended contents I found in a knowledge base article. I even renamed it to old.htaccess, but that didn't work either.
