Hi,
Yes wslade. Issue on a self-managed VPS though so only limited assistance.
Anyway - turns out issue was in php.ini file. Blank spaces at end of lines that required commenting out.
I renamed the php.ini file and the site was back up and running fine!
So far, so good...
